Thanks to the committee. You have done an amazing job organizing the reunion weekend....The website is great....Looking forward to seeing everybody...
What a special, talented class we were. We were more than we ever knew. Reconnecting will be fun this weekend.
Dear Committee Members,Thank you all for the extraordinary effort you have put into creating the reunion. I have many family members in Chicago so will miss the pizza party and the tour of Senn, However I will be seeing all who are attending Saturday evening and I am so looking forward to it.I didn\'t include lots of information about my life, but it has included teaching English, Drama and journalism, counseling in the schools, then a private practice specializing in chronic illness and disability, becoming an adjunct professor at 3 Portland colleges, about the issues of chronic illness. Now retired I write, volunteer on several Boards, and work a great deal within the Jewish Community of Portland, and as a proponent of the Arts. My husbanc is an Enviromental Consultant. Our lives are full with family, outdoor activities, theater, travel and gardening. And Life deals difficulties too. Who among us at our age has been spared loss and other causes of grief? But it\'s still a wonderful life.
Hi fellow graduates... I do know some of you, although I can\'t imagine your remembering me. At Senn, all I wanted to do was to learn and read and learn some more. Shy, backward and overweight, I had no notions about high school being an important time for me. I considered it an extension of grammar school, mandated by law. I was promoted into your class for perhaps a semester, perhaps a year; I don\'t remember exactly. The principal (Dr. Admunson?) wanted me to leave Senn even sooner because I had accumulated an exceptional number of hours. I didn\'t want to leave Senn because it was a comfortable place for me. The AP teachers were clever, talented teachers... I was at the last class reunion and saw a few people I knew. I suppose it was to my disadvantage that I was promoted into your class, where I knew so few people. Nevertheless, my best and longest-lasting friend is on the Website. Though my body has become older, for better or worse, I remain mentally about the same age as when I entered Senn. This is very good for creative work, but to my disadvantage when it comes to social skills. Oh, well... Enjoy. Best to you all, David
How wonderful this is going to be. I can\'t wait to see everyone. This committe should be proud of the work they\'ve done. We are all so very lucky.
I want to thank the reunion committeee for the wonderful job they did to make our 50th an unforgetable event! Kudos to all of you!My only wish was that there had been more time to talk to more of my classmates. The time together just flew by! I would like to suggest that we don\'t wait another 10 years for the next reunion, for obvious reasons. How about a 55th reunion? I would volunteer to be on the committee and would love to help from afar if need be.
Finally convinced my 16-year-old to visit Chicago in July; hopefully, she\'ll hang with the relatives while I hang with the Sennites.
This will be fun! Can\'t wait to see everyone in July!
