Dear classmates of soooooo long ago, I've been living in Reno, Nv. (biggest little city) since 1975--soooooo far away.  So I don't get  to Chicago often, even though I still have some cousins there. The last time I  was there was maybe eight years ago.   I'm not sure if I'll make it this year (though I did go to the 30th reunion with my stroke afflicted husband who subsequently died).  My very best friend in high school was Faith Pollack who lived near me (not in Rogers Park) and she is now deceased. Anyway, I still have covid concerns and am cautious. But I wish everyone a wonderful time and thank the organizers for continuing to try to keep us together.  I'm retired and support women and seniors in our community. I was a big traveller. I have 9 grandchildren from my  3 children--2 doctor daughters and a successful son. So, if I don't see you, have a wonderful time and maybe I'll catch up with you another time.                                        My best,        Helaine Schaffner Greenberg

I only attended Senn my last two years as earlier I was at the Chicago Jewish Academy. I also didn't make the 50th reunion, but perhaps I can make the 60th in August.
I've been in Los Angeles (at UCLA) since 1995, and before that, at the University if Washington in Seattle from 1980 and earlier at Dartmouth from 1971-80. I did fieldwork in India numerous times, and have been in university administration since the mid-1980s.
Chicago is a distant memory as I haven't lived there since 1963! But now as our cohort begins to approach their 8th decade, it is time to say hello once again and extend my very best wishes to all of you fellow classmates.

I hope to see some of you in August.
Dan

I would have been in this class had we not moved from Stewart School in 1953.  At Stewart I had Mrs Hefferman and Mc Crackin in 4th grade, Mrs Cramer in 3rd, Mrs Rupe in 2nd, Gaspar in 1st and Mrs Cornell in Kg. I still have my 16 inch softball, restiched. Best wishes to the friends I once had.

Our Senn Class of \'61 Reunion affirmed what has been widely known for half a century: we are so fortunate to have had wonderful classmates!

Thanks to a Reunion Committee that worked beyond limits of the law to assure that our weekend together would be a great success.

I want to thank the reunion committeee for the wonderful job they did to make our 50th an unforgetable event! Kudos to all of you!
My only wish was that there had been more time to talk to more of my classmates. The time together just flew by!
I would like to suggest that we don\'t wait another 10 years for the next reunion, for obvious reasons. How about a 55th reunion? I would volunteer to be on the committee   and would love to help from afar if need be.

My mom, Paula Faye graduated with you all.  I am so glad that Fran let me know about this website. I enjoyed seeing pictures of the school she attended.  Thank you for remembering her on your memorial list.  She has 2 beautiful grandchildren and two children who miss her terribly.  She was an amazing mom!

I thoroughly enjoyed our reunion. The committee did a splendid job in every last detail. My sincere gratitude to everyone involved.

I do have a suggestion for our next reunion (G-d willing): Sing the Senn song (I don\'t know if this was done because my ride and I left shortly after dinner). Also, now that we\'re in the age of high-tech, include the bio on Dr. Nicholas Senn, available from Google. I found it to be very interesting and I\'m sure others will, too.

Thank you all again, for a wonderful evening.

The reunion activities were fabulous!  I was so happy to see "old" friends again and reminisce.  The tour of Senn was a bonus and very nostalgic.  I wish to thank every member of the planning committee and those who helped them for a truly wonderful event.  Your hard work, even though you say it was fun, really paid off.  I can\'t believe that Roberta actually still had my goodies bag from the 40th.  I went home with a booty of goodies.......goody,goody.

Had hoped to make the reunion this year, but family obligations and visitors from afar will make it impossible. Been in CA for over 30 years now, but still miss Chicago (particularly the pizza). Great site and good people that I\'d like to see again. Maybe next time...

Dear Committee Members,Thank you all for the extraordinary effort you have put into creating the reunion. I have many family members in Chicago so will miss the pizza party and the tour of Senn, However I will be seeing all who are attending Saturday evening and I am so looking forward to it.I didn\'t include lots of information about my life, but it has included teaching English, Drama and journalism, counseling in the schools, then a private practice specializing in chronic illness and disability, becoming an adjunct professor at 3 Portland colleges, about the issues of chronic illness. Now retired I write, volunteer on several Boards, and work a great deal within the Jewish Community of Portland, and as a proponent of the Arts. My husbanc is an Enviromental Consultant. Our lives are full with family, outdoor activities, theater, travel and gardening. And Life deals difficulties too. Who among us at our age has been spared loss and other causes of grief? But it\'s still a wonderful life.

Hi fellow graduates... I do know some of you, although I can\'t imagine your remembering me. At Senn, all I wanted to do was to learn and read and learn some more. Shy, backward and overweight, I had no notions about high school being an important time for me. I considered it an extension of grammar school, mandated by law. I was promoted into your class for perhaps a semester, perhaps a year; I don\'t remember exactly. The principal (Dr. Admunson?) wanted me to leave Senn even sooner because I had accumulated an exceptional number of hours. I didn\'t want to leave Senn because it was a comfortable place for me. The AP teachers were clever, talented teachers... I was at the last class reunion and saw a few people I knew. I suppose it was to my disadvantage that I was promoted into your class, where I knew so few people. Nevertheless, my best and longest-lasting friend is on the Website. Though my body has become older, for better or worse, I remain mentally about the same age as when I entered Senn. This is very good for creative work, but to my disadvantage when it comes to social skills. Oh, well... Enjoy.  Best to you all, David
